Given BSG's track record of evil (dead) queers, that interview does not exactly inspire me with confidence, but, maybe it won't be so awful. We will see! And as we know, I will put up with a lot for canon queer and robots, heh.

I'd give Jane Espenson a lot more credit if the Caprica pilot weren't riddled with eye-candy lesbians.

Oh goodness re: the Harrison Ford bit. I actually interned for the production company (Double Feature) behind that movie in spring 2008 and read that script, and knew they were working with Harrison Ford on a bunch of projects, but I hadn't connected the dots about them putting Ford in that role, nor had I gone back and done my research about the actual facts behind the thing. The only thing I knew at that point was that it was a flat-out HORRIBLE script, boring and cliched and very Lifetime-movie-esque, as the article you linked to pointed out, and it's a damned shame that they wrote out the actual real-life Asian doctor in favor of some white guy. I completely agree with the article that using Dr. Chen as the character instead (and, you know, sticking with the FACTS) would have made for a much more interesting and compelling story.
