Oh goodness re: the Harrison Ford bit. I actually interned for the production company (Double Feature) behind that movie in spring 2008 and read that script, and knew they were working with Harrison Ford on a bunch of projects, but I hadn't connected the dots about them putting Ford in that role, nor had I gone back and done my research about the actual facts behind the thing. The only thing I knew at that point was that it was a flat-out HORRIBLE script, boring and cliched and very Lifetime-movie-esque, as the article you linked to pointed out, and it's a damned shame that they wrote out the actual real-life Asian doctor in favor of some white guy. I completely agree with the article that using Dr. Chen as the character instead (and, you know, sticking with the FACTS) would have made for a much more interesting and compelling story.
