oh dear
So my mediafire account has been suspended, which means I have a lot of dead links scattered across the internet, ack. Given that some of the files on there are straight up copyrighted material, doesn't seem that there's much I can do to get it back.
Apologies for the inconvenience! Vids, podfic, fanmixes, no doubt many other things, all gone. I will start trying to restore as much as I can - if you're after something in particular and having problems, let me know and I'll prioritise it.
I'm not sure what a good long term solution is, really. For podfic, there is of course the archive, so my stuff will still be on there. <3 Vids, I'm a bit stuck. Do I need to look into getting my own webspace? I need somewhere permanent that can support a fair amount of files/downloads without costing me the earth and isn't going to throw me out. Suggestions welcome!
(Also dammit I have stuff to make I don't have tiiiime for this.)

I'd try again, if you don't mind. If for some reason we can't whitelist it, at least a coder can tell us why and we might be able to find some workaround.

If your video embeds themselves are still functional, you could just find a free YouTube video downloader that doesn't look like it hands out viruses and recommend it to people, at least in the meantime. I think CNET has some they recommend. Although I don't know if any of those work with Vimeo, if you're using that.

Other than that, you're probably looking at private hosting or at least the potential risk of one day having to move bases.
Filetrip.net offers 100GB of free storage space, and is a slightly more towards the MegaUpload end of the spectrum than Mediafire, which means that I doubt they'll pull your account for hosting vids, but at the same time, it's more likely to one day get shut down, or turned into a straight-up file locker, like happened to FileSonic. That said, it's been around for 4 years, so it's at least somewhat stable. And it offers a lot of free storage.

Looks like this is happening too a lot of people right now. :/ Yay for people finding solutions for you though!
