it was the best (a call for happy things)
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Okay, no, enough. I refuse to continue feeling so sad that the Ponds' time on Doctor Who has come to an end without also looking back and remembering what made their era so great.
I just went through the fanart tag on my DW tumblr, which is full of adorable things by talented people. This evening, I think I shall indulge in a few of my favourite vids, like Read My Mind, What I Like About You, You Told The Drunks I Knew Karate, Stray Italian Greyhound and Stuck To You. Maybe I'll reread some favourite stories.
Fandom means that no story ever has to end, that's the beauty of it. And this one's not over yet, not for me.
So, if you're missing Amy and Rory's era too, come on in. Tell me about something you love, in the fandom or the canon. Something that makes you smile.
And if you like, tell me about what they're doing now.
For my part, I like to think about Rory quietly changing the nursing world, and Amy writing amazing science fiction novels about girls who do impossible things, and the two of them fostering a bunch of kids and raising money for orphanages.
I like to think about River coming round for tea, because of course she'll find a way. And maybe sometimes she brings a set of very confused grandparents with her. And maybe, once or twice, a older, wiser Doctor, who may know that you can't always rewrite time, but you can work around it a little.
I like to think about all the friends they'll have, old and new - the Doctor's friends are scattered all through time, after all. Maybe Amy will mentor a young Sarah Jane. Maybe they'll run into Canton Delaware again. And for those of an Avengers crossover persuasion, I really like to imagine them hanging out with Peggy and Steve. I think they'd have a lot to talk about.
If you just need a hug, I have plenty of those to give out as well. ♥ ♥ ♥

I'll be a story in your head. But that's okay, we're all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best.

Foreword
It is a truth universally acknowledged that any Time Lord wandering the universe is in need of a good companion: otherwise he goes all Mister Grumpyface, and that's no fun for anyone.
Oh, come on. You didn't think you'd heard the last of the Ponds, did you?
You may have turned the page on us, but our story is far from over. And this is one book, Raggedy Man, where you absolutely have to read the last page.
