Thanks for all the A:TLA recs! I watched the entirety of the series for the first time earlier this year, but I didn't get to see many fanworks, and the vids reminded me how awesome the characters are and how great the animation is!

(My icon isn't really appropriate beyond the fact that it's Katara, but oh well. XD)

Also, I'm bookmarking this for later so I can watch the Who vids once I'm caught up. Only three more episodes before I've seen this entire season, luckily.

What a neat coincidence - I've just started watching A:tLA and last night I was thinking, "Hmmm, I wonder where the vids are for this show?" I will check out the Appa vid, but will hold off on the other two, as I'm still very early on the show and am enjoying watching unspoiled for later developments.

The Appa vid does have a section tackling a S2 plot arc, but other than that I think it's not too spoileriffic! Also, it is great.

Thanks for the DW vid rec! I had seen the River Song vid already, but the Amy/Eleven/Rory one would probably have escaped me, and that would have been such a pity. They make me so, so happy, my Whovian OT3.

Still haven't gotten any further with A:tlA, but I think I might be succumbing to the cheesy charms of LotS.

Kahlan is pretty bad-ass, although the MAGICAl. SOUL-DESTROYING. ORGASMS. TO. ENSLAVE. HER. LOVERS!!! are simultaneously hilarious and horrific as a plot element.

I've watched episodes 1.01-07 now, and I am surprised to like Richard quite a bit too. Yeah he's naive and stupid and nice to everybody and not the brightest crayon in the box, but he's so refreshingly non-patronizing in his boy-scout helpfulness. And mostly free of angsty manpain. Yay!

Hahaha, I know, it's sort of terrible and amazing all at the same time.

And yes, I find Richard delightful in that way! He is Not A Jerk, a quality I prize in male protagonists. And I kind of want to ruffle his hair. >.>

I am pretty sure that Terry Goodkind must have Really Enormous Issues with Women. I watched the Denna episode today, and she was wielding her magical red dildo of pain a lot! And strutting around in leather corsets! And making people call her mistress and lick her boots! And then she died pierced by a very, very phallic sword. It's like the strangest views of female sexuality I have come across in a long time.

And I kind of want to ruffle his hair.

Heh. Me too. And then pat his cheek, take this big sharp dangerous sword away and send to rescue kitten from trees. (I think I need seeker icons!)
