tardis_bigbang author sign-ups are open from now until the 15th! (Artists have until April.) I'd throw my name in now, but I have no idea what I'm going to write yet.
Looking at snippets of stories that I've never really picked up, here are all my WIPs that theoretically could stretch to 20,000 words:
Torchwood:
-- the one where Gwen wakes up in hospital and is told that her time at Torchwood was -all a dream-. I have a thing for this particular sci-fi cliche, and while originally it was going to be a relatively short, unresolved thing, I could bequeath this with a real plot.
-- the one where Ianto goes into spaaace. Or; the snatched-by-the-Rift plot device is just asking to be exploited, and in my head this was always going to be a fun way to make up some alien planets, get Ianto having to cope on his own, and then have Jack and Gwen mounting the epic rescue to end all epic rescues.
-- the Supernatural fusion where Ianto's left it all behind and is studying at Oxford and living with his girlfriend Lisa, then Gwen breaks into his house in the middle of the night because Jack's on a mission, and he hasn't called in a few days. Cue-- I'm not even sure, the possibilities are almost endless but I don't know if anyone would care apart from me. (I think it would be so cool omg, um.)
Doctor Who:
-- the post-S4 one where Donna gets caught up with aliens again and runs into Martha Jones. This is mostly because a) there can never be enough post-JE stories for Donna, and b) because I was thinking you could write it all from Donna's POV and then Martha would effectively be the Doctor, a bit mysterious and angsty and knowing far more than she lots and holding Donna at a bit of a distance, at least at first. I'm not sure if this would be gen or slash, probably the latter.
I'm sure there are more DW things I could do, but Torchwood is often easier for plots just because everything's a bit more stable. Anyway, in short - I don't know! I could do any of the above, or something else entirely. Hmm.

Ahhh. Yeeeeeeah. I couldn't manage to talk myself out of it. (I have a bunch of ideas whirling about though, so hopefully it'll turn out well!)

The first one more as an unresolved thing, I think, but I would absolutely trust you to make a whole story out of it.
I am so tempted to sign up. I will be writing Tosh. In fact, I've already started, without signing up. It's a little bit anti-canon, though, my Tosh fic.
I also want to read a Torchwood/SGA crossover with Teyla/Tosh because I have a mad desire to slash Tosh with every fandom I know.

Sign up, that would be fantastic! I'll be excited to read Tosh fic from you in any case, because yay. And Teyla/Tosh is an fabulous idea, yes.
