dogdaysofsummer in a bit, delayed because I had to finish reading this wonderful, wonderful fic.
On FictionAlley, by After the Rain (who I'm assuming is
a_t_rain, this did several things I would never have thought possible - made me understand Peter, almost maybe partially forgive him, get me attached to Death Eaters whilst keeping them in-character, and get me choked up at a death I wouldn't have expected (I won't say who, as it is spoilery).
Exploring the Marauders dynamic in a new and interesting way, filling in some of the gaps during the canon years, and extrapolating into the future and what might happen to Peter and Remus, this is highly original whilst managing to fit into canon beautifully.
Enough of my rambling - go and read it! Running Close To The Ground [PG-13, gen aside from mild Peter/OFC] . 12 chapters, but it's an easy read and so very worth your time - the plot rapidly becomes gripping!

I'm trying to have a look at it regularly, but it's pretty hard to do so...
