I've been sitting on this for a while...

So, some of you may remember that I've had access to exclusive titbits about various fannish things in the past - living near London and knowing media types is a beautiful thing. Anyway, there's a thing that I know about the new series of Doctor Who, and I can keep it to myself no longer!

I'll lock this post tomorrow, and newsletters, please don't link - amazingly, the tabloids haven't caught wind of this one yet and we'd all like to keep it that way.

So, about the Eleventh Hour -- well, the clue is in the title. The Eleventh Doctor is actually only going to grace our screens for an hour, as part of Our Lord Moffat's top secret plan to get his real choice in without anyone catching wind of it.

I mean, really. This guy? With this hair?



Unlikely! Apparently Matt's been a real sport about the whole thing, and has enjoyed filming the trailers and doing all the publicity - it means he gets to be a part of Who history, after all. And it's completely fooled the press, with all showings to date including a fake ending. However, certain people at the BBC have to know, obviously, and that's how it's made its way to me. Some terrible accident will befall the Doctor at the end of the first episode, and another regeneration will occur!

My contact won't tell me who the Twelfth Doctor is, because she says she wants to hear my squeaks when I find out. Apparently it is someone I like very much! Possibly even a female someone, omg.

So please, leave your wild speculation below. I'll start:
