Apparently Diana's coming back as a series regular in S2! Because I was really sad that she just disappeared without a trace after the pilot. I need more kickass lesbians on my TV!

One can never have too many kick-ass lesbians!

This probably means less Cruz, though, alas (because it's in the nature of things that these are either/or choices; two kickass women would OF COURSE be redundant). But they haven't given her so much to do since she pwned Gorat anyway, and that's been disappointing. Let's hope they aren't bringing Diana back to make her expendable...or will dispose of Cruz in some unsavory way.

Yeah, I hate to be cynical, but I'm not optimistic about this. Cruz was obviously supposed to generate some UST with Neal, except that's not really happening (his UST with El and Peter being more than sufficient, and now they've dragged in Alex, too), so they don't know what to do with her except as a stray team member Doing Case-Related Things and Looking Hot.

I'd love to be wrong about this, given that the other women are fairly strongly written, but I just don't see them making much of an effort; old tropes trump, I fear.

(I'm squeeful that you're on board with this show, btw, in case I haven't said. :D)

I KNOW, RIGHT? This is so much joy! I seriously can't believe they are so awesome that they're writing her back in after a whole season of Cruz, but clearly they are. \o/

I keep wondering if this could mean Cruz will turn out to be involved in the Kate plot.

Um, I'm sort of just assuming this will mean they will write Cruz out. Partly because she hasn't really brought anything to the show, partly because the rules of television state there can't be more than one woman on the team. (I hope I'm wrong, though. I hope they give us Lauren/Diana BFFness of awesome.)

That's fantastic! I was so upset when she wasn't in the later episodes.

This is the best news I have had all day! I spent most of episode two thinking "but where is Diana?" and being very uncharitable to people who might have said that they couldn't have a lesbian where a love interest for Neal could go. (As though that weren't part of the point! Also: OMG, queer woman of color in mainstream US drama! (SG:U doesn't count because it's SciFi, and also I don't want to watch it.))

Oh, yay! I might start watching this again; I was crushed when she stopped showing up.
