Okay, I don't have much to say about the main plot save that it was stupid but John Simm was amazing, as was the Doctor/Master interaction throughout, omg. Also, fuck yeah Romana! I love that they never actually named her in a rare moment of subtelty. Gallifrey was all a bit pointless in the end, though.

However, the end! The companions! Aaaaaah it was beautiful. *still crying* RTD, that was a good thing you did, there. I'll have more to say when I'm not writing this from my phone. Also, I loved Jack's section especially for CoE continuity, even though it completely tore me up.

So yes, more later, but overall I'm happy. Donna was criminally underused but omg she didn't die, and yes, I can work with this.

It's post. Jack's in a Star Wars like bar, looking miserable. He sees the Doctor, they exchange a Meaningful Look. He's then introduced to Alonzo from Voyage of the Damned, and Jack starts to chat him up a little, sad but maybe hopeful. So yes, very much with CoE canon.

we can completely skip over RTD's useless, stupid plot because the people acting out his stupidity were so amazingly brilliant. WILF AND THE DOCTOR, OMG. ♥ and then! and then! Doctor/Master was like. it was so perfect i don't even want to say anything about it to taint it's perfection. THE COMPANIONS OMG, AMY. Mickey and Martha = RANDOM AS HELL, and yet the cockles of my heart omfggggg. i need fic about their kickass marriage like immediately, thnx. and Rose. Oh, 01 Jan 2005!Rose. happy and smiling and ADORABLE and ♥! OH AND ALSO ALONSO AND JACK. \o/ i was upset that Donna wasn't featured more, but i'll get over that. and it took me, you know, until they showed her face to realize that was Romana (but hopefully i'm not too slow and it wasn't just me) but YAY TIME LADY OF BADASSERY!

Plot: STUPID. Acting: MARVELLOUS. Plus! Martha! (and Mickey! I am asquee!) Married kick-ass people always make me happy. And then Donna and her mother, and Wilf, and Jack and oh! the end had me in tears.
