Doctor Who 8x06
I am delighted by this episode. Things I enjoyed in no particular order:
+ Aha, and now Danny knows what's up! I really like him, and it's nice to have the change in recurring boyfriend character where both we and Clara are getting to know him as we go along - and he gets many points from me for calling the Doctor on his crap, particularly regarding class and his general propensity to be a jerk. And a really interesting conversation between him and Clara at the end, about the ways in which he can understand a bit of what she's experiencing and just wants to help.
+ Courtney! Doctor + kids = greatness forever, and his total delight at meeting this Disruptive Influence and then merrily taking her to see space afterwards. Lovely stuff, great to see her character fleshed out more, I hope she comes back.
+ Loved the nod to the history of Coal Hill and Doctor Who with the reference to all the artron energy over the years attracting the monster of the week. The Clara + Danny as Barbara + Ian thing continues to delight me omg. A cranky old man and two schoolteachers in a blue police box, just as it should be. (I hope Danny actually gets to travel in said police box soon!)
