The Day of the Doctor

Had an absolute blast seeing this in the cinema with a bunch of other fans. Lots of spoilers below from the beginning.

Oh gosh. I thought that was totally wonderful. From using the very original opening credit and panning across Totter's Lane and Coal Hill - where Clara teaches! Of course she does! How perfect.

Clara was a delight throughout this - clever and brave and independent. She saved the day! And had Kate's total trust, which was a delight.

So many shoutouts, and loads more that I need to comb through and find. The wall of companions, with prominent Rory! Jack's vortex manipulator! River's shoes in the black archive! Gleeeee.

Everyone was amazing, I loved it, I loved the way it did the thing that big Moffat episodes do where they actually become very small, just a handful of people in a room working out how to save the universe.

And I cried happy, happy tears from the moment I was sure that they really really were going to save Gallifrey, and that the Doctor's going to go HOME. *_* And the fact that Eleven gets to know that, and the peace that must bring him, makes me so unbelievably happy. I might even be okay with the fact he's leaving. That perfect, perfect moment with thirteen Doctors in thirteen TARDISes, wow.

Gallifrey's return, and, of course, Tom Baker. OH MY GOD. I don't even have words, it was just perfect and so surprising and wonderful and ahhhh.

I'M SO HAPPY I LOVE EVERYTHING.

I KNOW OMG. GLEEE. And I'm saving the Five(ish) Doctors for tomorrow I can't waaaaait it looks brilliant. SHOW!

When we started with that opening credit and the opening pan, sanj and I both gasped in delight. :-)

And oh, God. Thirteen Doctors; that was so awesome!

It was brilliant and wonderful and everything I wanted and didn't expect! (Save the Time Lords; I've thought for years that Moffat would save Gallifrey somehow. I just didn't know how he'd pull it off and it was gorgeous.)

And like...I know the previous Doctors can't remember or whatever but the TARDIS must, right? Idk I cried a lot thinking that the TARDIS has known this whole time and she's just been waiting for her beautiful idiot Time Lord to remember and no wonder she likes River so much oh god feelings wow, wow, so many feelings.
