Doctor Who 7x10
I really enjoyed this! Neil Cross's approach to the show works for me, he can stay. I really liked the concept of the episode, the stranded time traveller stretched across earth's history and the contained nature of the story.
I'm also really interested in Eleven and Clara's relationship by this point in the series -- they're buddies without being bffs, not yet. Both of them are sounding the other one out, not quite sure how much they can trust each other or whether this is a good idea. But also they have adorable high fives. :D
Clara's lovely -- she reminds me of Martha a little bit, not quite swept away by the Doctor, self-assured and full of questions. And now I'm really curious as to where everything's going.
One theory that
purplefringe shared with me that I really like is that this Clara has yet to be split across time, that she will become Oswin and Victorian Clara in some way, but not yet. It would be a typically timey-wimey approach to things. And so some point in the future she will do something or something will happen to her that creates multiple versions of herself across space time. Maybe that's what the TARDIS was getting at with the voice interface.
As to how this ties in with the Doctor's name, the Fields of Trenzalore, River and everything else, I don't know. And I feel like it's possible that all of this could come together to explain why the TARDIS exploded in season five, and that would be awesome.
I think the finale's going to air while I'm at Vidukon? So if anyone wants to come join me late Saturday night for a deadly silent room party, you're very welcome. *g*

And I like this Clarasplitting theory as well. Hrm, yes indeed.
