Dear Festividder
Hello! I hope you have a wonderful time during festivids season. If you already have an idea you want to make, please do so and I'll love it. If you're the sort of person who likes more detail, I've written some general stuff below.
Some kinds of vids that I like include: vids that explore the world of the source, swishy dancey action vids, emotional character-driven vids, vids about awesome women whether focused on one individual or a group of them, vids about people who love each other, vids exploring big thematic ideas and imagery, vids about comedy hijinx.
So, you know, I pretty much just love vids, really. All of the sources I've requested are very dear to my heart in different ways, and seeing one of them come to life in your vid is going to be awesome, I'm so excited.
Musically, I haven't met a genre you can't make an awesome vid out of.
Some other bits and pieces that I like - parallels, characters growing into their own awesomeness, hugs, montages, pretty fight sequences, pretty dance sequences, big emotions, sentimentality, meta analysis.
I've been pretty slack on reccing vids I like lately, but my vid recs tag has had a lot of use over the years.
Brave (2012) [Movie]
Music - Something traditionally Scottish/folk-y would be lovely, but if you have an idea for something more modern that would also be fun!

I loved this film to little bits and pieces. Merida and Elinor are both such wonderful characters, and I became super invested in their arcs and their relationship.
Discworld (Live action) [TV]
Now that there've been three of these, if you felt like doing a general Discworld overview/ensemble vid that would be really cool, but I'd also be delighted with something with a smaller focus, like on Susan or Moist & Adora Belle, all of whom I love.
Imagine Me & You (2005) [Movie]
Music - As fluffy and sentimental as your heart desires!
Luce/Rachel=OTP forever, basically. This is my go-to happy film of lesbian romcom joy.
RPF - Doctor Who cast (Eleven-era) [TV]
I'd be overjoyed with a vid about Matt, Karen and Arthur and their dorktastic bffery, as well as any of the rest of the cast you'd like to throw in.
Saving Face [Movie]
My other favourite happy film of lesbian romcom joy! *_* I love everything this film chooses to be, so I will love anything your vid chooses to be!
Star Trek - Next Generation [Movie, TV]
My very first scifi love! I love everyone on this starship so you can't go wrong, and an ensemble/team love vid would be lovely, but if you'd like to focus on a specific character then some of my favourites are Data, Geordi, Picard and Troi. If you felt inclined, a Data&Geordi being bffs/space boyfriends vid would delight me in my soul, as would an Awesome Ladies Being Awesome vid (Guinan! Crusher! Ensign Ro! Yar! They're all so great!)
We'll Take Manhattan (2012) [TV]
I mostly love this for reasons of Karen Gillan and her perfect face (with a side of Helen McCrory and *her* perfect face!) so feel free to pander to that. :D
The West Wing [TV]
Man I love this show. Some elements I love best include: CJ CREGG AND EVERYTHING SHE IS *_*, Toby and Sam: Writing Is Hard, Josh & Donna: Failboats in Love, Charlie being the best, allll the women like Amy Gardner and all the assistants and Ainsley and Kate and Nancy and Abbey Bartlett etc. A team thing would be awesome, a thing about the Santoses would be great (I actually kind of love s7), it's all good.
