I should absolutely be asleep and I haven't even got round to last week's yet, but, well.
+ How much do I love Morgana and Gwen, you guys? SO MUCH OMG. Running around being sneaky and competent and good with swords, eeeeee.
+ Oh, the quiet little way Morgana says "she is more than just my maid, she's my friend". MY HEART.
+ Ahahaha, I do enjoy Morgana shouting at Arthur. Also, "bring her home". THIS SHOW SHIPS ITSELF.
+ HI, LANCELOT! Oh, sweetheart, what on earth are you doing?
+ MERLIN ILU. I just -- yeah, that's all. *pinches his cheeks*
+ GWEN IS THE BEST THING EVER, OMG. So brave and badass and wonderful! *swoon*

+ That conversation Arthur and Merlin have by the lake about Gwen is just wonderful - I love how much Arthur is growing to love Gwen and how much Merlin loves Arthur. In conclusion, OT5.

+ Damn, I need to watch last week's episode at some point, BECAUSE OH SHOW I LOVE YOU.
+ Okay, so I am sad the that girls' ass-kicking quota mostly got used up in the first bit of the episode - I mean, seriously, is at all believable that Morgana wouldn't go with Arthur and Merlin, really? Really? And much as I enjoyed Lancelot's chivalry it did get very damsel-in-distress, though Gwen remained awesome. Also, some of Gwen's lines re. Lancelot felt kind of forced though I absolutely believed that her joy at seeing him again brought back a sudden rush of emotion such that him disappearing again out of the blue was really kind of devastating. (Wait, does that sentence even make sense? It's nearly 4am, okay, and I am giddy with Gwen love.) Which does not in any way negate her feelings for Arthur. And I am sure there is Gwen!bashing going rife through fandom, but stfu, haters to the left!
Also, did I mention that Gwen/Morgana hug? Because omg. <333333333 I am going to shamelessly stealheathershaped's gif without permission - forgive me, bb?

TOTALLY AGREE ON ALL OF THIS - even the forced dialogue in Gwen's speech. This episode had the most over-the-top dialogue EVER. But I can fanwank Gwen's as her being JUST THAT BLOODY RELIEVED that she hadn't, in fact, been abandoned to die alone and that someone actually had come for her.

Boo, I know. There was SO MUCH Morgana ass-kickery in season one, but the writers seem to have tapered that off and made her stand in windows and scream during nightmares a lot. I will love Morgana no matter what she does, but GRR. More Morgana/sword, please!
Also, Gwen is just -- I have no words. ♥ A few of the lines did seem a little forced to me, but I usually blame that on the show having ridiculously cheesy writing that's probably an amalgam of every quest epic ever. :D Because all of these actors have terrific ability & range (had much joy over queenly!Gwen this ep!).
