Awww I very much enjoyed this!

I honestly never picked up on any Bashir/Garak more-than-friends-ness when I watched as it aired, but I can kind of see it now. I think I was generally just way too distracted by Jadzia. She was one of the first strong female characters on TV that I could relate to, so most of my memories of watching DS9 center around her. I even dressed up as her for Halloween one year. My patient mother spent at least an hour with a brown eye pencil drawing spots on me!

Anyway, I totally hear you on the ultimate distractingness of Jadzia, but as for Bashir/Garak I would invite you to watch their first scene together. I'M JUST SAYING. *g*
