the most wonderful time of the year!

Oh my, the Yuletide brainstorming post is up! What to nominate, what to nominate? Especially as I keep watching One-Night Fandoms and flailing and adding things to the list.

I have no idea what I actually want to request this year, but a shortlist goes as follows:

* Cloud Atlas - David Mitchell
* The History Boys - Alan Bennett
* The Merchant of Venice - Shakespeare
* Twelfth Night - Shakespeare
* The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
* I ♥ Huckabees
* Imagine Me & You
* Red Cliff
* Skins
* Is Psych still a Yuletide-sized fandom? I have no idea, I am out of touch.
* Similarly, the Sarah Connor Chronicles?
* Probably some cracky RPF, just because.

What say you, flist?

I just looked down the list of fandoms on that post, then decided that clearly since there are lots of fandoms I want to see more fic in, the solution was to wander over to the New Year's Resolutions Challenge and try and write some myself.
...Yuletide is going to eat my brain.

tl;dr - more fandoms = win.

I am determined to take part in yuletide this year, looks so much fun, and think some Shakespeare would be awesome. :D Not that my life is Shakespeare! Shakespeare! Shakespeare! at the moment or anything. Must admit that I came out of As You Like It shipping a ridiculous number of weird combinations. And I can't wait for Twelth Night and I get to see a talk with Richard Wilson - so excited. :D

Plus, got to say that both Cloud Atlas and Book Thief are such awesome books. :D

Hey,

Sorry was waiting for my rota for next week and have all of Saturday off, so am at your beck and call (you still have my number right?). Actually, expect it'll be before you get in - but if you're getting in before 10.30am-ish, James Fleet is doing a talk that I was planning on heading to.

:D

Hey,

Can't wait to see you. If you do fancy James Fleet (umm... that came out all sorts of wrong) - let me know, I think I'd need to pick up the tickets tomorrow.

I very much enjoyed Twelth Night, so look forward to seeing what you make of it all.

Also, do you still want to head to La Cage - I've booked holiday from 21st-30th Nov, so if any dates in there would be good for you, I can get it all sorted.

:D

I'm guessing Psych might still be Yuletide, but not SCC. That's just my gut response, though.

Part about REALLY wants Make it or Break it fic this year. But every time I think I've narrowed it down, I see another fandom and go Ooh <3

Ooh, I've always wanted to do Yuletide... maybe first year with my own laptop is a good time to begin? BUT OMG SCARY WHAT IF I CAN'T WRITE ANYTHING. All I know going in is that I need fic of Barbara Hambly's vampire historicals Those Who Hunt the Night/Travelling with the Dead LIKE BURNING.

BUT WRITING IS ALSO SCARY.
