The thing about watching this vid with zero knowledge of canon is it really does make me feel for her - I genuinely feel sad about what she's lost, I just have no idea what that is. So keep thinking things like "I can't figure out why that guy (who I assume is Rory) is dressed as a Roman in some clips and in modern clothes in others, but the answer is probably utterly heartbreaking. ;__;"

Which sort of makes me want to know what the actual story is out of self defence, becuase canon can't possibly be as sad as this vid, right? RIGHT? ;__; PLZ TELL ME AMY GETS LOVE AND HUGS AND SUNSHINE AND PUPPIES.

She does! Eventually! And sort of! But yes, Amy gets her fairytale ending.

oh my, this vid ! I'm so sorry that I didn't get to properly hug you like crazy after seeing this cause I was so moved and in awe.
This vid is softly brushing over you (if that makes sense) and feels so poetic and just feels so simple and true. I don't even love Amy and I found this to be so perfect. Your song choice is obviously epic win here and how you used it is fabulous, it just feels like everything amy didn't say but felt the entire time, the fragility in her. I love this so much and couldn't wait to watch it again :D

We spoke about this a little at the con, but to reiterate, I was really taken by the way you wove such a disconcerting sense of off-kilter darkness into the vid and into a vid I was expecting to be more...traditionally joy-through-sorrow. Which of course this is but, as you noted, the song is fundamentally unresolved at the end. Anyway, there's a lovely, subtle, eerie, minimalist sense to the editing that really works well with the song and the story.
