OLIVIAAAA. Where to begin? Olivia Dunham is an FBI agent with latent superpowers who is really, really good at her job. And that's just the beginning. She's amazing because she's brusque and seemingly unemotional a lot of the time and embodies a lot of the qualities you would usually associate with male characters in her position, but she's also deeply compassionate, excellent with children, and pretty much the epitome of still waters running deep. She is also one of the biggest damn heroes I've ever met on my TV.

Her list of badass accomplishments is far too long for me to go into here, but they include challenge sexism in the workplace and rape culture from the very start of the series, winning people over to her side despite their best efforts to resist her, stopping a bomb going off with her mind, breaking out of a high-security institution with nothing more than a glass of water, and cultivating the world's most adorable relationship with her sister and niece.

She's completely compelling, whether I'm watching her solve a case or delve into her own psyche and past. I love every second of it.

Olivia! ♥ SO AWESOME! I love that she has the superhero origin story and the tragic past, but she doesn't have the manpain that so often comes with those things.

Olivia Dunham is my favorite ever. (Her and about a hundred other women, okay.) Still water running deep is about the perfect description for her. It's like she feels everything so deeply, and still refuses to indulge in the sort of wallowing that so many male characters of her 'type' do -- there is no manpain in Olivia. Just a lot of compassion and determination.

I am also an enormous fan of the whole "30 days of women" thing, wherever I come across it. Which, if you were curious, is why I'm now following you. :)
