Oh, Diana! One of the fine super-smart and super-competent FBI agents on this list. I was over the moon when she came back at the end of S1 and has become a regular fixture of recent episodes, although we still don't see as much of her as we like!

I love Diana's robust professionalism that never once makes her stodgy. She has a fantastic dynamic with Peter, Neal and Jones and she's really, really good at what she does. Completely unflappable - as the quote above demonstrates - with a healthy regard for her home life, I always appreciate the glimpses we get of the trouble she's having readjusting to New York life with her girlfriend and so on.

The moments when she lets her guard down are also gorgeous - her scene with Neal in the hotel room in 2x02 is one of my favourites. And after that she'll, you know, shoot a guy in the leg then stand on his face in a stiletto heel, because she's a badass like that.

Diana is one of the biggest and bad-assest reasons I watch this show. I haven't had a crush like this in eons, and I squee with delight every time she comes front and center. She's the only one that Neal can't charm at all, and that is such a good thing.

Mmmm-hmmm! One of the things I love about WC as a show is that the women are just as competent as the men. I love that Peter can be serious and good at his job and snarky; and that all of his team members are just as good at their jobs, just as fun and interesting as characters, regardless of gender.

Also, how can you not love Diana? Right from that first scene with Neal and commenting on the hat/refusing to be charmed by him, you had to fall for her just a bit.

UGH DIANA WHAT IS NOT TO LOVE? NOTHING. THERE IS NOTHING NOT TO LOVE. I fucking loved that scene where they're rushing to save her and they show up and she's already taken out all the bad guys. STORY OF DIANA'S LIFE, I FEEL.

I also love that when she was away she was away because she was good and they were training her to be better and more important! So that when she came I felt pleased for her that she had been away doing stuff rather than just in TV limbo land.
