trick or treat!
Via
chaila, and a way to amuse me count down until I start writing for nano while I catch up on some work:
In honor of All Hallow's Eve, I’m inviting trick-or-treaters to my ‘door’. Comment “trick-or-treat” to this post and…well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics, graphics, a few words why I’m glad to have you on my flist, etc. etc.). The more "houses" to visit the more fun it'll be, so go ahead, open your journal and help spread the fun!

And there are treasures there, too. The Doctor, smiling, a twinkle in his eyes like he knows the TARDIS' games, and so Jack tells him about what he saw today, vibrations soft beneath their feet as they fly through the universe.

Ianto looks up. "Need a hand?"
"I just remembered, it's Hallowe'en. I didn't get any sweets, and the little fuckers are going to be out in force."
Ianto peels back a curtain and looks out the window. "Roger that. Two ghosts, a vampire and a Harry Potter are on a direct trajectory."
"Only one thing for it, then," Gwen says, thrusting a refilled glass into Ianto's hand. "We'll have to hide."
Giggling, she grabs a torch and then switches off all the lights. "They'll never know we're here!" she hisses, loudly.
They move from the counter to the sofa, Gwen lighting a couple of candles. Ianto makes spooky noises. Gwen rolls her eyes, then she retaliates by picking up the torch and holding it under her face.
"On a dark and stormy night," she intoned, "there was a weevil roaming the streets of Cardiff, looking for revenge..."

Rory: Will she be safer if I stay? Look me in the eye and tell me she wouldn’t be safer.
The Doctor: Rory, you can’t —
Rory: Answer me!
The Doctor: Yes. Obviously.
Rory: Then how could I leave her?
The Doctor: Why do you have to be so… human?
Rory: Because right now I’m not.

"River?" the Doctor asks, looking a little distracted as he opens the door. "I gave you a key."
"Trick or treat?" River replies, grinning.
"What?"
She steps into the TARDIS. "It's an Earth tradition," she says. "You love Earth traditions. I wear a supposedly-frightening costume --" she indicates the pointy witch's hat and the thick black cloak "-- and in return you give me sweets."
"I think you're a little old for that," the Doctor says, but he's smiling now.
"Well," she concedes. "There is another Hallowe'en tradition." She unties the loop at her throat and lets the cloak fall to the floor. "On the one hand," she says, watching the Doctor's eyes widen, "the wearing of sexually provocative outfits seems to be part of this tradition reserved exclusively for women as an expression of a backwards, patriarchal and gender essentialist society. On the other hand, I look seriously hot like this."
She steps forward, feeling the sheer black fabric move as it skims over her breasts and brushes over the top of her thighs.
"So, Doctor," she says again, inches away from him. "Trick or treat?"
