How is Legend of the Seeker? I've never seen it/heard much about it.

I love it very much! It's ridiculously cheesy a lot of the time, and it has its problems, but there are a lot of kickass female characters and surprisingly compelling character arcs. Plus, it's very pretty.

also? If you watch more of The Sentinel (i.e., enough to get the jokes), you must find a copy of "the Man Song" vid by The Media Cannibals. I don't think it's online at the moment, but it's well worth tracking down. Very old school vid, but it totally holds up, humor wise.

The Wire is all sorts of awesome - and I say this as someone who steadfastly refused to watch it because it just, and I quote, "wasn't going to live up to the hype". Oh the humble pie eating I have done.

I have no clue why I still watch The L Word, but I do. I don't even really enjoy it. It just annoys me. I do love the Autostraddle recaps though. They're hilarious.

OMG, I KNOW re: the Sentinel - every time I see it, I'm amazed that it was ever made. I'm so glad you're getting to experience it now! Have you seen the one with ebola yet? "EBOLA IS BAD NEWS, MAN!" Or the one with Blair's mom? Any of the ones with Blair's mom? Or the one with the basketball games shot entirely from crotch level? Or the Rig one where they have a conversation as Jim towels himself down from the shower?

Ooooh, Blair's mom. She was such a fab character. SHE RAISED A FAB SON! I still say, "DETACH WITH LOVE!" to this day and I wasn't even that big of a fan of the show at the time. Somehow, I believe I've managed to watch every single episode over time.
