Torchwood; Gerald/Harriet; PG-13; spoilers through 2x12
“What’s the point of trying to save the world if it’s going to end anyway?”

Historical Torchwood fic, hurrah. A source of deep joy in of itself, and when it's an opus written by one of the best writers in the fandom, well. It's World War One beautifully brought to life, with added aliens. Honestly, this reads just as well as original fic, but there are wonderful, subtle ties into the modern day series too.

History repeats for the Doctor.

I haven't been able to stop watching this, it's a little embarrassing. Fun, catchy, perfectly edited, and draws out all sorts of neat little parallels between Rose and Martha's tenures in the TARDIS.

Baby, this is the last honest look I'll ever give.

Short, punchy, fantastic song choice, and makes me oh, Jack quite extravagantly, so a winner all round!

And lastly, a canon question - do we have anything solid, timeline wise, between Last of the Time Lords and The Sontaran Stratagem? Or does it just generally fall under that category of 'it's a been a while'. And where would Reset fit in? This, theoretically, is for the Martha/Tom fic I'd be writing if my brain was working, and so I ask mostly in order to check I'm not missing anything obvious such that I mess up before I even start.

I don't think we do have anything solid, but I'd like to think it's been about a year at the very least? That's enough time for tracking down Tom (she'd already phoned him up at the end of LoTTL, so that part would be easy, heh), start dating, getting engaged AND Tom moving away to Africa... Oh and in the meantime, Martha getting her qualifications. That's rather a lot actually, LOL.

As for between Reset/Dead Man Walking/A Day In The Death and The Sontaran Stratagem, a few months...maybe 4 to 6 months. Or thereabouts. I'm not of much help, am I?

Anyway, if you haven't seen it before, there's this timeline (http://lefaym.livejournal.com/8983.html) that lefaym put together that helped me understand the logistics of time and space in TW s2 and DW s4 much better once I'd read it bwahaha.

Yeah, she's been a little busy, hasn't she? I sort of wonder how long it took for UNIT to get in touch with her, but I guess that's as vague as the rest of it. And no no, good to hear someone else has been guessing the same sort of numbers!
