Doctor Who 4x05: The Poison Sky

EEEE! MY FLAIL, LET ME SHOW YOU IT.

I have no thinky thoughts, really, just squee.

* DONNA! With the win! And the being terrified yet totally heroic - I love this reluctant hero thing on her part, it's really great to watch.

* Brig reference YAY! I had a little flaily dance at that and everything. What the hell is he doing in Peru, mind, and I would like fic about that plz.

* Speaking of, Colonel Mace for the complete and utter win! I thought so last episode too, but here he was just fantastic and completely deserving of being in charge of UNIT, even if he didn't get as much Doctor!love as he could have. He gets the pretty captain instead though so that's quite all right. :D Theirloveisso stiff upper lip.

* The UNIT theme music rocks my world.

* MARTHA JONES. With the compassion for her clone and the way she just gets on with saving the world and even when the Doctor's about to sacrifice himself she doesn't question it because she thinks he's right - and Donna does challenge him, because that right there is the contrast in their characters - and TEN'S COAT and there was snuggles and the way the two of them were in the episode was so, so lovely. And we got that 'thank you' moment which was perfect and exactly what was required and EEEE they love each other so much and ♥.

* And she didn't want to go with them even though it was wonderful because you go, and then you come back again better for it and can be happy with that, which to be honest is an idea that's been a little lost with some characters, and it's important Donna hears that, I think. But yay engagement ring and can we please get Tom back sometime?

* Basically, I am SO EXCITED about this team TARDIS, because between all three of them the epic win is astounding. And, God, as they keep throwing more characters into this season surely my brain's going to implode from all the awesome in the same place. Good way to go, y/y?

Ooh, yes, those things too! Gosh, there were a lot of fun things rammed into this episode. And hahah, indeed, Jack is unforgettable for sure. :D

i didn't really get what the doctor meant in his reference to capt jack..that he'd be hot for clone!martha wearing a T-shirt? I mean really...capt jack goes for anyone anytime, right?

Yay, I shall join you in this Donna dance! Because really, so amazingly fab. And she hit him at the end! I forgot to mention that, but that was great.

This isn't it exactly, but it was something along the lines of "I could use the Brigadier, no offence," and Colonel Mace fanboying him a bit, calling him Sir Alistair and explaining that he's stranded in Peru. Ftw, basically.

IT WAS SO GOOD. I. I'M STILL SQUEEING. SO BAD. AL;SJFLSKDJF.

Everyone was awesome in this ep, but Martha, OH, Martha, she was just absolutely fantastic. The Doctor's coat! Being compassionate and yet so kickass! Her 'DON'T YOU DARE, DOCTOR' when the TARDIS flies off, OH. But yeah, this particular team TARDIS is so made of win that I'm worried they'll make my poor laptop go highwire. SO MUCH SHINY, SO LITTLE SPACE.

And now I'm so so intrigued about Rose! Which I'd never thought I'd say, haha. Now THAT is good storytelling. Color me surprised. :D :D

MARTHA MARTHA MARTHA. Her yelling at the Doctor and Donna hitting him in the very same episode, hee!

And ooooh I know, the Rose bit was fantastic - I love how they're layering it as this Big Mystery for the audience while the characters have not a clue anything's going on, very awesome.

I rewatched that Jack mention about three times. It was just...lolztastic. JACK YOU ARE SUCH A SLUTBOI, OMFG.

I loved the ending, where Martha is shrieking at him to take her back. Maybe she's afraid that if she stays, she'll get sucked back into the madness that is Life On The TARDIS. ...That wouldn't be so bad, would it?
