Dear Yuletider letter
Hello! I am so pleased that you are going to write a story for me. If you have an idea and want to go off and do it then that's wonderful, please go right ahead. If you'd like some more details, please read on.
Gen is great, shipfic is great. I'm very happy with any rating and any kind of romantic/sexual/kink content, whatever you most like to write. My two general requests would be a happy ending, and nothing where any of the characters are too drunk to know what they're doing.
I enjoy fluffy slices of life in which nothing at all happens, romantic comedies, coming of age stories, adventures, humour, wacky AUs and fusions, character studies, identity stories, and fannish tropes. (Some of my favourites of the latter include bodyswap, space!AUs, time travel and time loops.)
If you are interested in writing about characters who are asexual or who are trans or genderqueer, I am interested in reading about them!

October Daye - Seanan McGuire
Characters: Toby, May, Jazz, The Luidaeg
I would be absolutely delighted by a story featuring any combo of these women, they're all so wonderful. If there is a story in your heart that you already want to tell, please do go for it. Some suggestions below.
I'm fascinated by May's origins and her cheerful colourfulness in spite of it, and I always wish we got to learn more about Jazz in the books. And the two of them together are so cute I don't even know what to do with it. I would love to read about their first dates and how they built up the stable relationship we see in later books, or really anything else about either or both of them, and also their relationships with Toby - Toby + May is a great dynamic, and I'd like to see more of Jazz and Toby's friendship too.
If May/Jazz is my favourite relationship in the books, Toby + The Luidaeg is a very close second. The slow build of what has turned out to be a very deeply-felt friendship is just the greatest and I love them. The familial dynamic of later books has also been really fun. I love how spiky they both are, and the unlikeliness of the two of them getting along as well as do. Whether it's a story about them eating ice cream and snarking at each other or an epic adventure, I'll be totally delighted.
I'd also be fascinated by backstory for The Luidaeg, maybe with some of the other Firstborns or Maeve/Oberon/Titania.
I love all the characters in this universe, so include whoever else you'd like - also v happy with background Toby/Tybalt though I'd prefer that not to be the focus of the story.

Imperial Radch series - Ann Leckie
Characters: Awn Elming, Justice of Toren
Quick note - haven't read Ancillary Sword at time of writing this request, but definitely will have by December, so feel free to include canon from both novels. A new story existing in this verse is going to be very exciting for me whatever you decide to do.
I have so many feelings about this universe, and especially about Lieutenant Awn and how much Justice of Toren/Breq loves her. ;_; I would really like a story back when they were happy? Maybe when Awn is first assigned to Toren and how they got to know each other, and how One Esk developed their particular attachments to her.
Anything that explores more of Radch life and culture, the whole notion of ancillary ships, One Esk's love for music or any of the other amazing details of that world would also be amazing.

Bomb Girls
Characters: Betty, Kate
Can we just ignore that whole TV movie business? Okay awesome. (I mean, if there are bits of that canon you want to run with, please do, but none of this character death nonsense etc please and thank you.)
Betty/Kate! Should have been 100% endgame! We could have had it allllllll! *anguished wail*
Could you fix that for me please? I would dearly like to read about Betty and Kate's eventual romance, how Kate come to terms with herself, what they do in the future, anything you like (buy a house? adopt adorable babies maybe? have amazing adventures definitely!). The rest of the women also super welcome!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Characters: Santiago, Diaz, Holt
I love everything this show chooses to be. Captain Holt and Diaz and Santiago are my very favourites. Some things I would enjoy:
- Whole team wacky shenanigans, either episode-style or AUs. In space maybe??
- Amy and Rosa. Friends or girlfriends equally amazing, the two of them light up my life.
- I would love some Ray backstory, or a story about him and Kevin because they are deeply precious. Something about what Ray really is like outside work, or more about his role as a community leader for LGBT African-American police officers (<3333), or him fucking with Peralta because that is the greatest also.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Character: Nebula
NEBULA \o/. She's a brutal alien cyborg with possible secret feelings played by Karen Gillan, I never stood a chance.
I would love something post-film for her, about what she does with her life now for good or ill. Gamora is very welcome to come along too.

Yes hello 1/3 of my requests this year are Karen Gillan based and that's not even looking at my festivids sign up. >.>
I don't even know what I want here - run wild! Be free! I adore Karen's relationships with all of her DW costars and think Karen/Matt/Arthur is an amazing OT3 and also they're delightful as friends. Also her friendships with Alex and Jenna are incredibly sweet.
I'd enjoy any fic set during her time on Doctor Who, or afterwards if you fancy, and also AUs are very welcome, from ridic hipster Hackney coffee shops AUs to epic fantasy or anything else that you like.
