Dear Festividder lettter

Dear Festividder,

Omg I'm so excited. I hope you are too! Optional details are totally optional, please do whatever is going to make this exchange the most fun for you, I'm sure I'll love the end result. I realise most of my requests are just me yelling about my feelings, so really I am super easy to please. :D

If you find some detail helpful, read on! I'm actually just going to c/p from my letter last year because my tastes haven't exactly changed.

Some kinds of vids that I like include: vids that explore the world of the source, swishy dancey action vids, emotional character-driven vids, vids about awesome women whether focused on one individual or a group of them, vids about people who love each other, vids exploring big thematic ideas and imagery, vids about comedy hijinx.

All of the sources I've requested are very dear to my heart in different ways, and seeing one of them come to life in your vid is going to be awesome, I'm so excited. Musically, I haven't met a genre you can't make an awesome vid out of.

Some other bits and pieces that I like - parallels, characters growing into their own awesomeness, hugs, montages, pretty fight sequences, pretty dance sequences, big emotions, sentimentality, meta analysis.

Bomb Girls [TV]

You could probably do something fun with Little Mix's Salute if you felt like it. Otherwise, period-appropriate or modern equally awesome.

I would like a vid about some or all of these amazing ladies! Something focused on Vera, Betty, Kate, Betty/Kate or the friendships between all of female characters would be aces. I'd prefer it if you didn't include the TV movie.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine [TV]

You pretty much can't go wrong with a team shenangians vid here, I love all their stupid faces. I would also enjoy a vid centring on Holt, Amy, Rosa or Terry.

Festivids [Web, Still Image, Other]

Make me a vid about what Festivids means to you and I'll totally love it. I've been participating every year and it's pretty much my favourite event in the fannish calendar. I'd love to see what you can come up with here.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes [Game]

I have heartily enjoyed playing this game and would super enjoy a vid for it. Something about all the visual humour and slapstick and shenanigans would be wonderful, as would a more earnest vid about everyone working together and saving the day! My favourites including all the MCU gang, the X-Men and in general all the women.

Maleficent (2014) [Movie]

I loved this film so much! And Maleficent and Aurora's relationship in particular was just the most beautiful thing, wide-eyed young girl seeing the beauty in everything meeting jaded woman who learns to love again, ughhh it kills me. So great. Something centring on either character, the relationship between them, or a film overview would be wonderful.

Not Another Happy Ending (2013) [Movie]

Suggestion: Ellie Goulding - The Writer

This movie was very pretty, and I loved Jane's character and her arc as a writer and with her dad (was fairly lukewarm on the romance but I don't mind it featuring). My favourite aspect was the Jane/Darcy relationship that developed, and I definitely ship it - I thought the above Ellie Goulding song might work well for the whole artist/muse thing they had going, but also a general film overview would be lovely.

Selfie [TV]

I really have no deep or meaningful thoughts on this show, I just know that John Cho and Karen Gillan have perfect faces that ought to be set to music. Wacky fun very much encouraged.

The Mechanisms (Band) [Audio]

I don't really want to put any limits on your creativity here! If you've got an idea for how to vid them then please be my guest and go right ahead. I love all three albums, and would particularly enjoy anything about Rose, Snow and/or Cinders from Once Upon a Time (In Space), Ulysses from Ulysses Dies At Dawn, and Arthur/Lancelot/Guinevere or Mordred from High Noon Over Camelot.
