I saw The Avengers tonight! :D spoilers and flail under the cut.

WELL THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Awesome, awesome characters and dialogue and humour and all the stuff I wanted, plus great action sequences and drama and feeeelings and omg the whole team have SUCH GOOD FACES.

+ NATASHA LET ME LOVE YOU. Why oh why doesn't she have her own film? I adored that she was both composed and emotional, that she could show fear and concern without that making her less of a badass. AND SHE TRICKED LOKI OMFG GREATEST SCENE. I want all the fic now! Her and Clint being snarky and awesome, her backstory with Fury, the ones where she and Pepper are secretly dating etc.

+ PEPPER. AHHHH that first scene with her and Tony was SO GOOD. She's so amazing and also just hanging out in her shorts being great and bffs with Coulson.

+ ... Oh, Phil. :(((( I thought that his death was really well done but I have all the sad. Though I have already started writing fic in my head where it's a fake out, and I'm sure much of fandom will join me.

+ STEVE. YOUR FACE. I CAN'T DEAL. The PTSD-ridden opening and his uneasiness at slipping back into his role but then saving people with his shield and being amazing and oh god his stupid face may I please hug him forever??? <333333

+ THOOOOR. All grown up; still fluffy.

+ Tony had so many great lines oh man. Calling Clint 'Legolas' was my personal favourite.

+ didn't imagine I'd say this, but Hulk? Comedy gold. Him letting Loki speechify at him before smashing him into the floor got a huge cheer in my cinema.

+ it was great seeing Fury as a proper character who was fleshed out from just a mysterious badass.

+ I loved everything and everyone, basically. I want to see it again, and soon! And oh how I want to vid it. SO GORGEOUS. The whole Tony in space sequence, guh.

+ SUPERHEROES. SQUEE.

eeeee! Someone else on my r-list has seen it. natasha was AMAZING! I loved the way she manages to turn the tables on everyone and still show her own vulnerability which goes hand in hand with her utter badassery.

Pepper's bare feet and shorts were such a great contrast to her work clothes and being all bantery with Tony. SO perfect!

Coulson's death HAS to be a fakeout, right? I can't accept anything else.

I cannot wait. The trailer plays on the TV that does the ereader demo at work and I get excited every time, even though it plays every 5 minutes.

So I can't decide whether I want Black Widow/Hawkeye in the movie or if I want Bobbi Morse to be mentioned. Because I LOVE her. And hell, they can just have a big threesome, I won't complain :D

Also, completely OT, it's been a year and a half, and "Could you get a room, but like, a different room?" is STILL FUNNY.

I so agree with everything you said. I just loved this movie so much. But Hulk and Loki at the end kind of capped the movie. It's like, that made it from epic to so epic OMFG I can't even deal.

I loved EVERYTHING except Phil dying. I almost cried. I just didn't see it coming- I was convinced someone was going to die (after all, Joss wrote it), but I, along with half the internet and all my coworkers, was convinced that it would be Hawkeye.

Both times I've watched the movie I've wanted to be able to freeze it and get a close up of whoever the besuited guy is who's walking up towards Fury as Hill walks away at the end, and I have a tiny little spurt of hope that it's somehow Coulson.

Your thoughts are my thoughts! I am overwhelmed with love for Steve Rogers, I don't know what to do with it. And BRUCE! Who knew I could love the Hulk?

And I was so so pleasantly surprised that I liked Natasha (not a character thing, no problem with The Black Widow, I just tend to find the actress deeply irritating) but she was amazing!
