end of year meme, round one
ah, that time again, when I get to make lots of lists in the name of record-keeping. :D I am currently spamming tumblr with my favourite characters of this year, which so far include Abed Nadir, Amy Pond, Annie Sawyer, Caroline Forbes, and Diana Barrigan. :D

Your main fandom of the year?
Doctor Who, obviously. I'm not sure, maybe I was like this in Torchwood or Merlin at some point, but it certainly feels like this is the most mono-fannish I've been since way back in the day in HP. In terms of fannish output it probably is, though I've been reading in a few different fandoms, as ever.
The Ponds have definitely moved my Who fannishness up a few notches, and it was high before! I just love them lots and their story arc is one that brings out that 'make all the fanworks' bug in me, which I predict will continue next year.
Your favorite film you watched this year?
I loved Thor a whole lot I have to say. Thor! Jane! Darcy! Sif! Yay! :D (I enjoyed Loki lots as well, but I don't seem to have latched onto him the way a lot of the fandom did.)
Your favorite book read this year?
I finally got around to reading Ellen Kushner's Swordspoint and loved it tremendously. And yes, Privilege of the Sword is now on my to-read list.
Your favorite tv show of the year?
Doctor Who aside, Community has continued to light up my life.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
I've been enjoying getting into the Marvel movie-verse I must say.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Although I'd already stopped being that invested in Merlin anyway, this season has ended up making me sad.
Your fiction boyfriend of the year?
ABED NADIR, BE MY BFF. I cannot even with his wonderfulness. *_* Also hi, Rory Pond, hi, I enjoy your face.
Your fiction girlfriend of the year?
Lots, as ever! Amy Pond, Diana Barrigan, Olivia Dunham, River Song, Annie Edison, Guinevere, and to be honest, Korra even from the tiny bits of trailer we've seen. :D
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Meeting Karen Gillan. Twice. \o/ She is made of magic, I swear.
Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
AVATAR: LEGEND OF KORRA. AVENGERS. HOBBIT. DOCTOR WHO S7. I think it's going to be fun! I also need to catch up on Fringe and start watching Parks & Recreation.
I'm also excited about Korra and Avengers because hopefully it'll mean I'm crossing fannish paths again with people who I don't share fandoms with right now. Come join me in the build up to Korra particularly, there is a good chance it will be relevant to your interests!

*I actually have this vague desire to write an AU wherein movie!Loki is just named AFTER his blood-uncle, the real Loki, who is currently bound under the world tree, gets out, and is kind of " . . . . " at his nephew, because wtf are you going around being such a whiny daddy's boy when you're NAMED AFTER ME. This inevitably ends with real!Loki and Tony Stark having too many drinks together.
