CARA. I love her so much! I love Cara because although she regrets a lot of the things she's done, she is utterly unapologetic about who she is. She's still a Mord'Sith, and she gets to decide what that means for herself. I love her growing aptitude at compassion, her selflessness, and the moments of pure joy that she has. I love her sense of honour and the way that she will defend her friends not just physically, but with words as well. I love how much of a rarity she is as a female character, and most of all I love the fact that she's a big queer hero. ♥

Oh, Ellison. <3 I love him because he is fascinating to watch as his world slowly deconstructs around him. I love his fraught but fantastic relationship with Sarah, and the way in which he quietly reassesses everything he thought he knew. I love the way he teaches John Henry, and the way he challenges Weaver. And, you know, everything else about him!

Morgana is wonderful! I love how smart and snarky she is, and her total, ends of the earth commitment to the causes she believes in. Her vulnerability makes her brittle, I think, but she's also brave. I love her kick ass sword fighting skills and the way she can play both Uther and Arthur like fiddles when she thinks it's necessary, or when she thinks it's fun. Also, I love her outfits so much, omg.

KAAAAAYLEEEEEE omg. Um. She is one of my favourite characters of all time! I love her for being a dorky, sweet, mechanical genius who likes flowers and teddy bears and dresses and also engine grease. I like how much she enjoys sex for its own sake, and I also love how readily and open she loves and shows compassion. She's the heart and soul of the crew of Serenity, and I can't imagine the show without her. <3

Ginny is so great! She is fierce, and smart beyond her years, and I love her bravery. I love the way she stands up to people - reminding Harry that she knows what it's like to be possessed by Voldemort is one of my favourites. I like that even though she probably always had feelings for Harry, she got on with her life and had fun with other boys.

Martha! Martha is awesome because she's a problem solver and quick thinker, and she operates on the basis of her head and her heart in equal measure. I love her because she never gets tired of seeing the universe, and she never gets tired of saving people. I love her because she is a survivor, and has been through so many horrors, and never gives up her hope and her faith in the goodness of people.

Amy is bolschy and funny and not quite neurotypical and I completely love her. I love the way that she makes her own choices about her body and her sexuality, and that she won't take shit from anyone. I love her curiosity, her giddy excitement, and her childish but totally sympathetic desire to live the fairytale for as long as she can. I love seeing the universe through her eyes. Also, I adore her smile. <3
