I love AUs, and have read a ton of them, and love them to bits. But, that's not what makes Drastically Redefining Protocol good. What makes it good is that rageprufrock is absolutely brilliant. If you haven't read everything else she's written, I recommend you do so immediately. My favorites are On the Road and Conflict of Interest (and it's sequel Visiting Hours). They're Bruno & Boots and Smallville fanfic respectively, but they're done so well that prior knowledge of the fandoms is unnecessary and irrelevant.

(And you should totally write the Torchwood as Euro pop fanfic because I would read the shit out of it.)
