November is the maddest month

[lots of links swiped from [livejournal.com profile] penknife]

[livejournal.com profile] nanoflail - for fan writers attempting NaNo this year, whether writing fan or original novels. Discussion topic today: what are you trying to get done before NaNo? [I am desperately trying to clean the decks in so many respects, my my.]

And if you're not doing NaNo, but still want to participate in the general air of frenetic writing? There are also the marvellous [livejournal.com profile] wrisomifu (for trying to write just about anything) and [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo (for committing yourself to writing at least 100 words of fiction per day).

So, I've been really good about not signing up for exchanges, on account of aforementioned NaNo. However, I am thinking that Yuletide's deadline of December 19th means it is feasible in a post-NaNo world, yes? Fandom nominations going on right now for those planning on participating. What to pick, what to pick?

(It occurs to me I need to get some new writing icons. Writing a 50,000 word novel with a quill would be horrendous.)

Oooh, I'm really tempted by [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo. Really tempted.

I'm doing NaNo, for the first time. Are you registered on the NaNo website? I'm Misty over there.

I have written with a quill, sort of. But in large letters, and only short phrases. :p (I wonder if anybody does NaNo at Hogwarts? Maybe they bring pens from home or something.)

Excellent community findage!!

Is the [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo community still active? They aim for 5,000 words instead of 50,000.

Augh, OMG, Amy! *has signed up for mini NaNo*

It's karma. I post about interesting fests, and it comes back to bite me. *sigh*
