Fandom Snowflake Challenge Day 1

snowflake_challenge has its own comm this year, running different prompts for the next 15 days to encourage fannish love/discussion/etc. Yay!

Day 1:

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

Okay I might cheat a little and do four - one fanwork per major fandom. A tour through my fannish history!

Harry Potter:

I Know Where The Summer Goes (Sirius & Black Family)

♥♥♥ Sirius! ♥♥♥ I started off my fannish life hanging out in the Marauders & Remus/Sirius corner of HP fandom, and I will always have a giant soft spot for that era and those characters.

Torchwood:

I Heard A Whisper (The Way I Might Have Been) (Jack/Ianto)

So there was a time when there was this ridiculous, cracktastic, not always particularly good sci-fi show with queerness everywhere and I loved it. (... we do not speak of series 3.)

Merlin:

Vid: Antebellum (Gwen/Morgana)

The time where I loved two characters more than the show ever did. ;_;

Doctor Who

Vid: Love is Cool (Eleven & the Ponds)

Because working with

purplefringe and vidding montages of some of my favourite characters hugging is one of my very favourite things to do. <3

!!! How did I not know you started out in Remus/Sirius fandom? HOW DID WE NOT DISCOVER ONE ANOTHER A BILLION YEARS AGO?

Also, I think I may have been shown Antebellum by a friend before I knew who you were, so I'm going to take this opportunity to let you know that I love it to pieces, and it may be my fav Merlin fanvid, and we definitely have similar loving-those-characters feels. <3
