	Wow. I love that song and I love those characters, but I can't imagine it working together. Having said that, next time I'm online at home, I'm going to watch this (and I'll probably love it). Excellent, now I can stop waiting for someone to make a vid about this tangly, brutal, screwed-up, empowering mess of a love story/family vacation/coming-of-age-tale.

I enjoy the way the Doctor disappears after the first section and doesn't come back until the end. It's a good choice; he sets things in motion, but the vid keeps the focus much more firmly on the Ponds and what they do in those circumstances, not what the Doctor makes them do? I don't know if that's a distinction that makes much sense to anyone but me, but um, there it is. ;)

PONDS OMG! Just... stunning and brilliant all round. Somehow especially stuck by Rory. I mean, most Companions change greatly because of their travels, but Rory assumes a whole different persona, as it were... (I am useless at anything to do with graphics, but these two images seem almost impossibly far from each other.)

Must re-watch lots before I can say anything more coherent, although I love the way this is structured, and the emergence of River. Just... so good. So, so good.

Oh this was lovely. That part when Rory first comes on screen! Wow! And the intercutting of Rory in A Good Man with Amy in Amy's choice -- perfect. And then River! And then the three of them! I like how the Doctor sort of disappears off screen until the end, leaving the focus on the effect he has on them... I'll have to watch this many times to catch all the nuances, I'm sure!

Wow, that was epic! I would never have picked this song for these characters (especially Amy and Rory), but you make it work really well. The pacing is perfect. Rory's section especially struck me, reframing his character journey as maybe not a empowering growth in badass-hood but something darker, making him the sort of guy who doesn't even look while spaceships full of sentient beings* are blown out of the sky.

*Cybermen, but that doesn't erase the point
