kaydeefalls, I thought of you a lot when she was playing all your vid songs! :D Oh, Stray Italian Greyhound particularly was so amazing, I smiled and smiled and got a little teary and had the vid playing in my mind.
Everything was completely wonderful. She talked a little bit about writing My Medea whilst grappling with depression for the first time - funnily enough, I'd never read the song like that before, and so I was really glad to discover that new resonance. Listening to City Hall (a song about same-sex marriage in San Francisco) was a strange mix of gorgeous and not a little heartbreaking. And Harbor just made me beam. I think hearing Idioteque was my other favourite, because omg Vienna Teng/Radiohead/me is pretty much my musical ot3.
She had Alex Wong with her, who was delightful, and the two of them are a lot of fun together. There was also some other guy - he was fun too! A lot of the joy of the show was just in listening to Vienna talk about her travels and the history behind some of the songs and encouraging audience participation. There was also the bit in One Bedroom, One Bath when she and Alex broke into A Whole New World, having talked about performing it at karaoke. It was hilarious.
The last song was so gorgeous - they led the crowd in a three part harmony, and we actually sounded pretty good! I got a pretty decent mp3 copy of it (thanks to being so close to the stage, eeee). You can hear me singing, but I'm mostly in tune so hopefully that won't damage your experience too badly! Soon Love Soon
Picspam! We were sitting at a table right by the side of the stage where Vienna sat with her piano, which was just perfect. God, she's so beautiful I hardly know what to do with myself, and her voice! *swoon*

(Also, "other guy" is my neighbor. It is my only paltry claim to fame. And played cello etc. for this band. /random)
